Fight Club is a metaphor for the need to push through the walls we put around ourselves and just go for it!
We’re designed to be hunters and are in a society of material things. There’s nothing to kill anymore, there’s nothing to fight, nothing to overcome, nothing to explore. In that societal emasculation the artist is created. “Fight Club is a metaphor for the need to push through the walls we put around ourselves and just go for it, so for the first time we can experience the pain, the fear, and the bliss of accomplishment. The rage of the fight club serves not to promote or glorify combat, but for participants to experience feeling in a society where they are otherwise numb. The fight represent a resistance to the impulse to be “cocooned” in society. Fight club strips away the “fear of pain” and “the reliance on material signifiers for your/their self-worth”, leaving us to experience something valuable.
